Chanda and Rakesh’s 2-year-old boy Jai suffers from Hydrocephalus,  a neurological disorder caused by an abnormal buildup of cerebrospinal fluid in the cavities deep within the brain. This excess fluid causes the ventricles to widen, putting harmful pressure on the brain’s tissues.

“When we found our about the condition, we were asked to immediately go to a bigger hospital for treatment but our financial condition became the biggest barrier to even travel to this big hospital in a big city. I am merely a labourer.” -Rakesh, father

When I first came to know about the surgery I ran to every person I knew to lend me some money for the treatment but no matter how hard I tried I could gather only a few thousand rupees.
