Project:
“At Earthlings Trust, every dog that comes to us is more than just an animal, it is a heart that beats, a life that feels, and a soul that suffers. People often ask me, “Does the first dog hurt the most? Or do you get used to losing them over time?” My answer is always the same: no matter whether it is the first dog, the hundredth, or beyond, their pain, their suffering, is no less. I feel every loss deeply, as if it were my own family.
And yet, every small victory, every dog that heals and finds comfort, is a triumph that fills my heart with hope. It reminds me why we started this journey in the first place. One life saved is a victory for the entire Earthlings Trust family.
The reality, however, is hard. Day after day, more dogs come to us, injured, abandoned, hungry, and desperate. Our hearts ache with the stories they carry, and our hands strain to provide care. But space is limited. We have reached the capacity of what we can manage with the resources we currently have.
We have tried our best, every patch of land, every corner, every pen is filled. And yet, the number of dogs in need continues to rise. The heartbreaking truth is that there are still so many who need us, but we cannot take them in. Every additional dog is a reminder that we need a bigger, safer space where more lives can be saved, healed, and given hope.
Winter in Delhi brings its own set of challenges. The cold bites through the city streets, and the air chokes with smog. If the winter air is so harsh on humans, one can only imagine the suffering of the dogs who do not have shelter or warmth.
They shiver, struggle to breathe, and face a harsh reality that most of us never see. At Earthlings Trust, we fight to make a difference, but our fight is limited by resources. Every blanket, every patch of heating, every safe space costs money, yet it is a cost that can never be measured against the lives saved.
Every dog that suffers touches my heart, and every life that we save reminds me why this mission is so critical. But we cannot do it alone. To continue giving hope, to continue saving lives, and to extend our shelter so more dogs can find refuge, we need support.
Your contribution is the promise of warmth in winter, healing for the injured, and life for those who otherwise may not survive. At Earthlings Trust, each dog is family, each victory is a celebration, and each plea for help is a call to humanity.
We may not be able to save every dog yet, but with your help, we can save many more. Because no matter how many dogs I see, each one’s pain is real, and each one’s recovery is a victory worth fighting for.” – Founder of Earthlings Trust.
