Shree Neelbad Balaji Dham Trust, located in Bhopal, started its journey as a humble temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. One fateful day, the temple’s caretakers witnessed a heartbreaking scene: a cow, severely injured and on the brink of death, lay helpless near their premises. Determined to save the animal, they quickly arranged for a veterinary doctor. The cow’s miraculous recovery became a turning point for the temple’s mission and the inception of Shree Neelbad Balaji Dham Trust.

For the past three years, under the guidance of Mr. Vishal Shrivastav, the Trust has dedicated itself to the rescue and rehabilitation of animals in distress. Mr. Shrivastav, driven by the belief that animals, being the vehicles of gods in Hindu mythology, deserve human protection and care, spearheaded the organization’s expansion from a religious site to a sanctuary for the injured and abandoned. Today, the Trust is a safe haven for 50 cows and over 100 dogs. These animals are not just strays but survivors of severe accidents, victims of cruel acts, and those suffering from paralysis. Unable to fend for themselves on the streets, these animals find refuge within the Trust’s grounds, where they are provided with shelter, nutritious food, and essential medical care.

The organization operates solely on donations, which poses a significant challenge. While the devotion and hard work of the Trust’s team have transformed the lives of these animals, the increasing number of rescues has led to a strain on resources. The costs of food, medical supplies, and shelter maintenance are substantial, and the current funding is insufficient to meet these needs.
