In today’s time, it is painful yet true that many elderly parents are abandoned by their own children once they grow old. This is the story of one such helpless couple. When they were first found, their condition was beyond imagination- their hair was filled with worms, their bodies covered in dirt, and all hope of living seemed to have faded away.

As the story unfolded through the villagers, it was revealed that the grandfather once worked hard to support the family while the grandmother was already paralyzed. But with time, tragedy struck again, and he too became paralyzed. In their most vulnerable state, their own children left them behind. Though the villagers offered them a small room to stay and occasionally gave them food, there was no one to truly care for them. When neither hands nor legs function, who is there to even feed them?

As soon as this information reached through social media, Raj Meena and his team immediately took action. They traveled nearly 250 kilometers from the ashram to Jhalawar without delay. What they witnessed there was heartbreaking- both the elderly man and woman were lying in extreme filth, with flies swarming all over their fragile bodies. They were both over 80 years old, completely helpless and neglected.

Without wasting a moment, Raj Meena and his team brought them back to the ashram. Their hair, which was infested with worms, was carefully cut, they were bathed, dressed in clean clothes, and given proper care and dignity. Today, they are in a much better condition, slowly regaining comfort and hope.

But this is not just their story. There are countless parents like them- abandoned, helpless, and forgotten by the very children they once raised with love and sacrifice. Raj Meena and his team are doing everything they can to help such people, but they cannot do it alone.
