The Blind Welfare Society, based in Delhi, is a beacon of hope for blind girls who have been abandoned by society and their own families. The organization is led by Dheeraj and Asha, both of whom are blind themselves. Together, Dheeraj and Asha have taken on the immense responsibility of caring for 40 blind girls, providing them with the essentials they desperately need—food, medicine, shelter, education, and, perhaps most importantly, love. Many of these girls have never experienced the warmth of a family, and under Dheeraj and Asha’s care, they finally receive the affection and nurturing they deserve. Beyond basic necessities, Blind Welfare Society ensures that these girls are equipped with the tools to lead independent lives. Education is a key focus, allowing them to build a future of dignity and opportunity.

However, the new session has brought more challenges to the organization. Recently, 10 more blind girls were welcomed into their care, bringing the total number to 50. While the organization is committed to supporting these girls, resources are stretched thin. The growing number of girls has led to increased demands for basic supplies such as Braille paper, walking canes, and daily rations. These items are essential for the girls’ education and overall well-being, but the organization is struggling to meet the needs.

The Blind Welfare Society now finds itself in a critical situation. The team is working tirelessly to provide for these girls, but they cannot do it alone.
