Omkar Nath Sharma, widely known as “Medicine Baba,” is an 88-year-old hero on a mission to save lives by providing free medicines to those in desperate need. Despite being 88% physically handicapped, his spirit remains as youthful and determined as ever. For the past 17 years, he has dedicated himself to helping the less fortunate who are hospitalized but cannot afford life-saving medicines. His remarkable journey of compassion and selflessness has earned him recognition from the Government of India and multiple prestigious awards.
Every day, Omkar Nath Sharma roams the streets of Delhi, knocking on doors and requesting unused or near-expiry medicines that people may have forgotten in their homes. These medicines, which would otherwise go to waste, become lifelines for patients in dire need. Medicine Baba tirelessly collects these medicines and distributes them to hospitals and individuals who cannot afford the exorbitant prices of medications. His work ensures that patients receive timely treatment, preventing further suffering or even death due to lack of proper medical care.
Despite facing significant physical challenges, Medicine Baba’s dedication to his noble cause has never wavered. At 88 years old, with limited mobility due to his disability, he continues to walk the streets with a bag on his shoulder, driven by a passion to serve humanity. His body may be frail, but his determination and willpower make him unstoppable. Omkar Nath’s commitment to his mission has inspired countless people across the country, proving that age and physical limitations are no barriers to making a meaningful impact.
Now, Medicine Baba needs your support to continue his invaluable work. The demand for medicines is ever-increasing, and without the help of generous donors, he cannot reach as many patients as he would like. Due to his physical condition, he finds it increasingly difficult to walk long distances, making it harder for him to collect medicines on his own. He dreams of creating India’s first “Medicine Bank,” where donated medicines can be stored and distributed efficiently to those in need. However, this dream cannot be realized without the help of people like you.
By donating unused medicines or funds to Medicine Baba, you can play a vital role in saving lives. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps someone receive the treatment they desperately need. Without your support, this noble work would come to a halt, leaving countless patients without access to essential medications. Together, we can ensure that Medicine Baba’s vision of a world where no one dies due to lack of medicines becomes a reality.
Let us join hands with Medicine Baba and contribute to his mission. Support him in making his dream of India’s first medicine bank come true, and help him continue saving lives, one medicine at a time.
