A Cry We’ve Forgotten to Hear Or Take Action Against

  • We live in a world that moves fast. Where the loudest voice wins, the busiest people are praised, and anything that doesn’t serve us is forgotten. But somewhere in our daily lives, beside dusty roads, and among dying trees there’s a kind of suffering that doesn’t shout or something that we have ignored, forgotten.
  • It whimpers. It limps. It climbs with trembling hands, searching for safety that no longer exists. These are the lives of monkeys, beings once honored as Gods, now often left to fend for themselves in an unrecognizable world.
  • They’re not looking for temples anymore. They’re just trying to survive.
  • Some are barely hanging on, injured and unnoticed. Some are chased, hit, or electrocuted while trying to find a tree that isn't cut down yet. Many suffer in silence, no voice, no advocate, no chance. Until someone decides to stop and see them.
  • And someone did. In the heart of this quiet crisis stands a woman named Charu Khare, a voice for the voiceless. What began as a deep ache in her heart became a full-blown mission, Aasra Foundation.
  • Aasra isn’t just a shelter. It’s a lifeline. A sanctuary. A place where injured, abandoned, and abused monkeys are given what they’ve been denied for too long: care, attention, healing. Not because it’s easy, but because it’s right.
  • Charu says, “If we have the ability to ease someone’s suffering, how can we turn away?”
  • Day after day, she and her small team are rescuing, feeding, treating, and comforting animals that the world has stopped noticing. But doing good work doesn't come without cost. And that’s why she needs us.
  • The shelter is growing, but so are its needs: medical emergencies, rising food expenses, and the desperate search for more space to care for more lives. Right now, you can become part of that mission.
  • Every contribution that you will be making towards Charu's Aasra, will be a statement that says "I see you. You matter. You’re not forgotten."
  • Most often than not, healing doesn’t always come from hospitals, sometimes, it begins with a heart that refuses to look away.
