At Adharshila Old Age Home, founded by Goswami Shashank Bharti, these stories are not just tales; they are everyday realities.

Every woman here once held her child close, gave everything she had, her love, her time, her entire strength. They raised their families with tireless devotion, sacrificing dreams for smiles, choosing their child’s happiness over their own. Yet now, they sit in corners of an old age home, abandoned, often left with nothing but memories.

Shashank has witnessed heartbreak no one should have to see. He has seen mothers arrive at the gates, tears streaming down their faces, left behind by the very people they gave their lives to. One image he can never forget is seeing an elderly woman being dumped like trash near a gutter by her child! The thought of a mother being discarded like yesterday’s burden is painful beyond words, yet tragically, it is real.

Sadly, this is not an isolated tale. Behind every smile lies a deep ache, a longing for children who may never return. Despite their suffering, these mothers continue to hold love in their hearts, wearing smiles that hide years of pain and abandonment

Today, Adharshila is home to over 100 elderly individuals who have been forgotten by the world but remembered by those who care. Goswami Shashank Bharti’s dream is to provide these mothers with a haven, a place where they feel valued, cared for, and never alone again. But he cannot do it alone.
