“Why this?” we asked him. Dattu Agarwal smiled and said, 

“Because we’ve been blessed beyond measure. We have what many don’t  sight. I too once dreamt of a life where I could be educated, but life didn’t give me that opportunity. So I decided to give others what I never received. These children are born without the ability to see this beautiful world, and that alone is heartbreaking. But why stop there? Why not help them experience something even greater dignity, self-worth, and a life filled with hope?”

This was the spark behind Matoshree Ambubai School for Blind Girls  a vision born from compassion and a deep sense of purpose. Dattu Agarwal founded this school to ensure that underprivileged blind girls don’t just receive education, but also a second chance at life.

Here, they learn more than just academics. They are taught to play musical instruments, work on computers, and become independent. They grow in confidence. They dream again.
