These individuals, through no fault of their own, are left to survive in inhumane conditions. One such heartbreaking story is of a young girl with special needs, found lying on the side of a road, bleeding, bruised, and brutally raped. She had no voice, no protection, and no family. Like her, there are countless others neglected by society simply because they are different.

Many people view those with special needs as a burden. They’re seen as people who can’t contribute, who “don’t do any good” for society. This mindset pushes them into isolation, and often onto the streets, where they are exposed to unimaginable cruelty. 

But one thing about these beautiful souls stands out they may not express themselves like everyone else, but they feel love just as deeply. And when you show them compassion, they don’t just respond they remember it forever!

Their loyalty, innocence, and joy are unmatched when they are treated with dignity.

It was this very pain that stirred the heart of one couple, leading them to start Ashadeep Foundation, a sanctuary for people with special needs who have been abandoned or found wandering the streets.

 These are individuals often disowned by their own families, not because they did something wrong, but because they were born differently. Ashadeep Foundation has become a second home for them—a place where they are not only rescued but also nurtured back to life.

At Ashadeep,, the healing goes beyond physical care. The foundation offers activities like yoga, music, dancing, playing games, and group therapies, all designed to help them discover their self-worth and experience joy again. Rehabilitation is at the heart of this journey. Every small step, from learning how to hold a spoon, to smiling again becomes a victory.

The transformation is visible. Children and adults once broken by abuse and neglect now laugh, dance, and hug with open arms. They are not just surviving anymore they are living.

However, running a home like this comes with many challenges. The founder bears the responsibility of food, medical care, shelter, clothing, staff salaries, and basic daily needs. Today, she’s reaching out with humility and hope seeking help to keep this home alive.
