Project:
Can you imagine the pain of feeling invisible on the day of your beloved Lord’s birth? Can you imagine singing praises with an empty stomach and dry throat? That is the reality for so many sadhus today.
As the world lights lamps, sings songs, and celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna (Janmasthami) , somewhere far from the noise, a sadhu sits in silence his stomach empty, his eyes full of tears, whispering the Lord’s name, not out of joy, but out of deep, painful hunger.

During the holy week of Janmashtami , when every home prepares sweets and decorates temples, there are holy men, sadhus and babas who have given up everything in their lives to follow Krishna. No family, no home, no luxuries. Only faith. Only surrender. They live on the roads, under trees, near temple gates with nothing but the clothes on their back and the Lord’s name on their lips.

But even faith gets tested when the stomach cries louder than the soul. Today, many of them have had nothing to eat. No one offered them a plate. No one noticed them. The world moves past them, busy with celebration, forgetting those who have spent their entire lives chanting the name of their very God.
They don’t beg. They do not ask.

When asked what would you hope for this Janmashtami, one Sadhu replied, with a trembling voice and tears streaming down his cheeks, “that Krishna will come to me not in a dream, but as a kind person carrying food, water, and love!”
Thankfully, True Hope Foundation is trying to become exactly that.

This Janmashtami, True Hope Foundation is walking the streets, temple grounds, and hidden corners of the city searching for these forgotten saints. With warm food, clean water, and gentle hands, they are feeding those who have nothing, giving hope to those who only ask the Lord to remember them.
This is what they call, true devotion. Because what better way to celebrate Krishna’s birth than by feeding those who have spent their entire lives calling out to Him?

Donors, today, you can be someone’s Krishna, someone’s miracle. With just a small donation, you can bring food to a sadhu who is hungry right now. You can be the answer to a prayer that has been rising from a tired body sitting alone under the stars.
Let this Janmashtami be more than rituals and sweets. Let it be the day you brought joy to someone who had forgotten what it feels like to be cared for.

Please donate to True Hope Foundation today. Let no sadhu sleep hungry. Let no baba feel forgotten. Be the one they were praying for. Because somewhere, someone is waiting not for money or fame but just for a little food and a little love. Will you be the one?
