Every Monkey Carries the Spirit of Lord Hanuman & Today They Need You!

A few days ago, Anjani Animals Foundation rescued a helpless monkey who was fighting for her life. Her throat and neck were filled with marbles and stones. 

No one knows whether she swallowed them herself in distress or if someone cruelly forced them upon her. What we do know is that she was in unbearable pain, every breath a struggle.

Through storms and sleepless nights, our team searched for her. We didn’t stop until we caught her and carefully removed each marble and stone lodged in her throat. Watching her breathe freely again was one of the most powerful moments of our journey. 

Once healed, she was released back into the jungle, her true home. But this is not just the story of one monkey. It is the story of thousands.

Across the country, monkeys face unspeakable suffering. They are beaten, electrocuted, poisoned, and starved. In societies and cities, they are chased away with sticks and stones, treated as a nuisance instead of as living beings. 

Many forget that they feel pain, they grieve, and they love just like us.

And yet, in our culture, monkeys are sacred. They are the living image of Lord Hanuman, the symbol of strength, courage, and devotion. Every time we fold our hands before Hanuman Ji in a temple, we must remember his living form cries for help outside. Protecting them is not just kindness, it is seva, it is worship.

At Anjani Animals Foundation, this mission has been our heartbeat. Over the years, we have rescued around 1,000 monkeys injured, abandoned, and tortured souls who had no one else. 

We have healed them, sheltered them, and given them back their lives. For us, every rescue is not just about saving an animal; it is about serving God through His creation.

But today, our greatest challenge is not the rescue itself, it is survival. We do not have a permanent shelter to keep these rescued monkeys safe.

 Every day we struggle for resources, for space, and for funds. Every day we pray we can do more, save more, love more.
