“My name is Suraj Gaywal. I am 26 years old, and my life is proof that sometimes destiny can shatter you, but only to see if you have the courage to rebuild yourself stronger.
In 2015, I had just cleared my 12th exams. My family was simple, my father worked hard, my mother prayed for our future, and I was ready to earn so that my younger brother could study. I was young, full of dreams. But one tragic evening changed it all.
A single accident, a high-voltage electric line. In a few seconds, my dreams were burnt. I lost my right hand. Both my legs had to be amputated below the knee. Imagine waking up to see half your body gone… I was just 18.
I still remember my mother’s tears. My father’s silence. Everyone around me whispered, his life is finished. But I refused to let my story end there.
Yes, I cried. Yes, I broke down. But one day, I looked in the mirror and told myself: “Suraj, if you are still breathing, God has not given up on you. So why should you?”
My father grew old and weak, so I became the earning hand of my family. With prosthetic limbs, I started delivering food for Zomato. ₹600 a day was all I could bring home, but that money carried my family’s survival. Every delivery I made was not just food, it was proof that I was still standing.
In 2018, I began training. My body hurt, my stumps bled, but I pushed myself. Day after day, night after night, I fought with pain and with people’s pity. Slowly, I grew stronger.
Today, I am not just Suraj, the boy who lost his limbs. I am Suraj, the champion bodybuilder. I have won the Puneshree Title, the Fiitr Title 2023, and been honored with the Lokmat Youth Icon Award 2025. I have competed in Mr. India 2022 and Mr. Universe 2022. More than 5 lakh people follow me on social media, not because of my body, but because of my spirit.
But my journey is still incomplete. I want to walk freely. I want to run. I want to compete with the world on equal feet literally. I want to represent my country India on the worldwide platform and for that, I need a high-performance athlete prosthetic from Credence Prosthetic India. The cost? ₹16,01,000.
I’ve never begged for help. Even today, I’m not begging. I am opening my heart to you, because I know what I stand for is bigger than myself.
If I can fight back after losing my hand and both legs… if I can earn for my family, lift weights, compete with the best… then what is stopping you from standing with me today?
This is not just about me walking again. This is about proving to every broken soul out there that no tragedy can kill the human will.
Help me get this prosthetic. And together, let’s show the world that courage has no limits.
