Project:
Five years ago, Sudeshna saw a sight that would change her life forever, a small puppy, hit by a vehicle, lying on the roadside as people passed by indifferently.
That moment shattered something inside her, but it also awakened something divine. From that day, she decided that no animal should ever die in pain, in fear, or in loneliness. That vow gave birth to Animotel Care Trust, a safe haven for the injured, the abandoned, and the unloved.
Sudeshna often says, “When you serve even one roti to a dog, you serve humanity itself, you serve God. Because dogs are devotees of Lord Pashupatinath.”
Her words carry the weight of truth and devotion. In Hindu belief, Lord Pashupatinath, the protector of all living beings, resides in the hearts of animals. To care for them is to worship the divine. And that is exactly what happens every single day at Animote Care Trust.
From tiny puppies who have never known kindness, to adult dogs left paralyzed after accidents, each soul that enters Animotel is treated with love, not pity.
Sudeshna personally feeds them, bathes them, and sits beside them until their eyes light up again with trust. Her shelter isn’t grand, but her heart is. She believes every animal deserves to live, not just survive.
But love alone cannot pay bills. Every injured animal that arrives comes with deep wounds and expensive medical needs. Surgeries, medicines, food, and shelter, the costs pile up endlessly.
Sudeshna has spent everything she had, pouring her savings, her energy, and her entire being into saving lives. Today, her heart is full but her hands are empty.
Still, she refuses to give up. “These dogs are my children,” she says softly. “Even if I have nothing left, I will feed them half my meal.”
Yet, she shouldn’t have to do this alone.
Each one of us can be a small part of her divine mission. Your support, a donation, a meal, or even spreading her story, can help Animotel continue to be the home where no dog is ever stoned, starved, or run over again.
Let’s stand beside Sudeshna. Let’s help her continue serving God through her love for His most loyal devotees, the dogs.
