This Jaya Ekadashi, Become the Reason a Forgotten Soul Finds Peace

On 29th January, millions of people will observe a fast for Jaya Ekadashi, praying for forgiveness, blessings, and moksha (liberation). Our scriptures tell us that donating and serving on Jaya Ekadashi frees a person from the sins of many lifetimes and brings peace to their ancestors. But even today, in our cities and towns, there are many souls who live and die completely alone.

There are elderly people whose families have abandoned them. There are homeless people who sleep on pavements and under flyovers. There are accident victims and helpless patients who take their last breath in hospital corridors, on deserted roads, or in mortuaries – waiting for someone to come, call their name, hold their hand, or claim their body. But no one comes. No one asks for them. And slowly, they become forgotten by the world.

They leave this world without dignity, without prayers, and without a final farewell. Bright The Soul Foundation exists for these alone and abandoned souls.
