Project:
Every mother dreams of seeing her child laugh, play, and grow. But for Anjana, the mother of 2-year-old Ali, every day begins and ends with tears, not of joy, but of helplessness.
Ali was born with a rare and heartbreaking condition called Goldenhar Syndrome with cryptophthalmos, along with a mass covering his right eye.
Since birth, he has lived in constant pain. His tiny hands reach for comfort, his eyes, one covered, the other struggling, search for light he cannot see. His cries echo through their small home, piercing through the silence that his absent father left behind.
“When my husband first saw Ali,” Anjana whispers, “he turned away. He couldn’t accept his own son. He stopped coming home… months go by, and we don’t even hear from him.”
Now, Anjana stands alone, a mother fighting both poverty and heartbreak. She works as a housemaid, earning barely ₹3,000 a month.
Her days are spent scrubbing floors and washing dishes, while her nights are filled with worry and sleepless prayers. “Every time Ali cries in pain, I wish I could take it all away. But I can’t. I have nothing, not even money for his medicine,” she says, her voice trembling.
Children in the neighborhood often refuse to play with Ali. They stare, whisper, and pull away. “They call him names,” Anjana says softly, her eyes welling up. “They don’t understand… it’s not his fault.” Watching her son sit alone, his little face filled with confusion and sadness, breaks her heart again and again.
Doctors at Ganesh Hospital, Ghaziabad, have told her that Ali needs immediate treatment, a procedure costing around ₹2.5 lakhs.
For Anjana, that number feels impossible. She has already borrowed and spent around ₹25,000–₹30,000 for tests and medicines, selling whatever little she had. Now, she’s left with nothing but hope, hope that maybe, someone somewhere will care enough to help her baby.
“I often ask myself,” she says, wiping her tears, “what will happen to Ali when he grows up? Who will stand by him when I’m gone?”
Her voice breaks as she continues, “He has already lost his father’s love… I just don’t want him to lose his chance at life too.”
Ali’s story is not just about illness, it’s about a mother’s strength, her pain, and her desperate cry for help.
Your donation, no matter how small, can change everything. It can help Ali see a world he’s never seen before. It can give him relief from the constant pain that has been his only companion since birth. It can give this mother the strength to believe that her child, too, deserves a happy tomorrow.
Please, open your heart for little Ali.
Donate today, give this brave mother the hope her son so desperately needs.
