Project:

“If I had eyes, I could see my parents…” – these heartbreaking words from 12-year-old Sagar can shake anyone to the core. At an age when children dream of playgrounds, friends, and a carefree life, Sagar is fighting every single day against pain, darkness, and a body that refuses to support him.

Born with multiple severe conditions – rare Buphthalmos with anterior staphyloma, optic atrophy with drastically reduced vision, bilateral CSOM, and bilateral knee subluxation – Sagar’s life has been filled with struggles most adults cannot even imagine. He can barely see, walking has become painful, and even simple tasks like going to the washroom are impossible without someone helping him. Yet despite all this, his spirit continues to shine brighter than his suffering.

Today, his condition is worsening rapidly, and doctors in Delhi have given his family a small but life-changing hope: with urgent surgery, Sagar may be able to see again. For a child whose only wish is to look at his parents’ faces just once, this hope means everything.

His parents live every day with fear in their hearts. His mother’s trembling words say it all: “We are constantly worried about him. Right now we are with him, but who will take care of him when we are gone?”
This fear has become their reality.

Despite his pain, Sagar is extraordinary. He studies at a blind school, where his talent has amazed everyone around him. His voice is filled with innocence and magic – when he sings, every corner of the room comes alive. His dream is as pure as his heart: to become a doctor and a playback singer. He often says, “One day, I will heal people and sing for the world.”

But today, that dream is slipping away because his family simply cannot afford the treatment. They have already spent ₹1.5 lakhs, borrowing money and selling their valuables just to keep his hope alive. Now, doctors have estimated ₹12–15 lakhs for his complete treatment.

His father works as a floor cleaner in local gyms, earning only ₹2,000–₹3,000 a month, while his mother stitches clothes at home to make another ₹2,000. Every rupee they earn disappears into medicines, hospital visits, and Sagar’s care. Even the ₹2,500 government support he receives is not enough to save him.

Your support can help this brave child finally see the faces he has only felt with his hands.  Donate now and give Sagar the miracle of sight, dignity, and a future!
