Cows that are gentle, sacred beings are pulled by ropes tied to their mouths. Some dragged on the harsh roads along with a rough rope tied around their neck. Dogs, the creatures of loyalty and love are tied, kicked, and beaten until their bones break. Some are thrashed so violently that blood pours from their wounds. Their cries slowly fade as they slip into unconsciousness or death. Cats that’s been burned alive just for fun. Often, their only escape from pain is death itself. This is not an isolated incident. He lifts bleeding animals off the road with his bare hands. He drives miles to reach an injured dog lying helpless in a gutter. He nurses cows who have been starved, beaten, and abandoned.

He feeds the hungry, treats the sick, and comforts the dying. He has turned his small home, his limited space, into a place of healing.

He spends every rupee he has to buy food, medicine, and bandages. He doesn’t sleep much. He doesn’t rest. Because out there, another animal is in pain. Another life needs saving. There are nights when he watches an injured soul slip away because there’s no medicine.

There are moments when he cries not because he’s tired, but because he’s helpless. He dreams of building a shelter. A proper, well-equipped sanctuary where no animal is turned away.

A space with clean water, nutritious food, medical care, and warm beds. A place where every creature that’s wounded, abandoned, forgotten, gets a second chance at life.
