Children With H/V Needs Support,Not Silence And Rejection

Every now and then, there is news of a newborn baby found in a dustbin. Hundreds and thousands of children are left alone on the road to die. Their childhood ends before it even begins because of some cruel, careless, and helpless decisions. Some parents run away from responsibility. Some are forced by fear. And some leave their babies behind because they cannot bear to watch them suffer.

Karunalay Balgruh is not just an orphanage. It is a home for children who are living with H/V. Many of these children were left at the doorstep because their parents did not want to see them die in front of their eyes. They hoped someone would save them. These innocent children are suffering from H/V, a disease that still carries stigma, fear, and misunderstanding in our society.

For these children, life has never been easy. They are often boycotted and treated as untouchable. But it is not their fault. They did not choose this life. They only want love, safety, and a chance to grow.

Since 1994, Anand Bansode has taken the responsibility of being a father to them. For the last 16 years, without any government support, this home has been providing free food, nutrition, shelter, education, medical care, and training so these children can become self-supporting one day. Around 40–50 H/V-affected children and more than 150 children in total live under this shelter.

But caring for children with H/V is not simple. They need regular medicines, proper nutrition, constant medical checkups, and emotional support. Even a single day of negligence can risk their lives. Every aspect from physical, mental, emotional to spiritual needs attention.

Right now, this mission is running with limited support. One man cannot do this alone.

These children deserve more than survival. They deserve a future. They deserve dignity. They deserve to feel wanted.
