What began as a weather alert has now turned into a humanitarian disaster, with thousands stranded and crying out for help.

The situation is worsening with every passing hour. In Sikkim, landslides have cut off several districts, making it impossible for locals to move to safer areas. In Assam, swollen rivers have breached embankments, flooding homes and farmlands. People are clinging to rooftops, trees, and makeshift rafts, waiting for rescue. But in many areas, no relief has reached till now. It’s been over 24 hours for many of them — no food, no drinking water, no electricity. Parents are unable to feed their children. The elderly and sick are struggling to survive. Basic needs like clean water, dry clothes, medicines, and shelter are no longer available. The fear of disease outbreaks is rising rapidly due to stagnant water and lack of sanitation.

Our team immediately began distributing clean drinking water bottles, ready-to-eat food, dry groceries, and essential supplies to affected areas. But we are a small team, and the scale of the disaster is massive. Entire districts are submerged. Thousands of families are affected.
