Project:
Raj Meena has never waited for permission to care. While most of us walk past suffering because it feels too heavy, too complicated, or simply not our responsibility, Raj keeps stopping. Again and again. For people who have no one else.
Over the years, he has rescued countless individuals from the streets, men and women abandoned because of poverty, illness, age, or mental health struggles.
People who were once someone’s responsibility, someone’s family, but were slowly forgotten. Raj doesn’t just rescue them; he gives them a place to belong. A roof. Food. Medical care. Dignity. A home.
Recently, he came across a case that shook even him.
A woman, mentally ill, wandering the streets. Not because she was born that way, but because life broke her slowly. Abuse from her husband. Constant pain. Neglect. Trauma that went untreated for too long. She had just given birth to a baby. Alone. On the streets. With no help, no safety, no care.
In her broken state, the unimaginable happened. The newborn child was left behind, helpless, roaming the streets. A life that had barely begun was already fighting to survive.
Raj found the child. He didn’t look away.
He stepped in the way he always does, by taking responsibility when the world refuses to. He ensured the baby was rescued, brought to safety, and given immediate care. He tried to trace the mother, to understand her condition, to ensure she too could be helped. Because for Raj, rescue doesn’t end at one life, it extends to everyone affected by the pain.
This is not a one-time story. This is his daily reality.
Every rescue means hospital bills. Medicines. Food. Shelter rent. Counselling. Follow-ups. Long nights and longer responsibilities. Raj often brings home people who have nowhere else to go, people the system has failed.
Elderly individuals abandoned by families. Mentally ill persons left to wander. Children born into trauma. He gives them a second chance at life, not just survival.
But compassion alone cannot run on empty. Today, Raj needs help. To continue rescuing more people from the streets. To ensure proper medical care and mental health support. To provide safe shelter, nutritious food, and dignity.
To make sure the next abandoned child, the next forgotten mother, doesn’t go unseen. He has carried this burden for a long time, quietly, consistently, without applause. But even those who give their lives to others need support to keep going.
Your donation is not charity. It is participation in saving lives. Please donate today, so Raj Meena can continue being the reason someone survives tomorrow.
