Project:
In a quiet corner of the city stands Mylos Rescue, a place that was once full of barks, wagging tails, and second chances.
Today, those barks are fading. The air that once carried hope now carries desperation. Mylos Rescue became a haven for voiceless souls who had suffered at the hands of cruelty, neglect, and indifference.
For years, they have rescued dogs from unimaginable horrors, dogs burned, beaten, starved, and left to die. But now, the very home that once saved them is on the brink of collapse.
Each dog here has a story that tears at the heart. There’s Lucy, a tiny brown stray who was found with burn marks all over her body after someone poured acid on her for simply sleeping near their doorstep.
Her cries still echo through the walls of Mylos Rescue, a haunting reminder of the hatred animals endure. Then there’s Bruno, once a strong and loyal street guardian, who was found tied to a pole with his hind legs crushed by a speeding car.
He dragged himself through the mud for nearly a kilometer before collapsing. When our team reached him, his eyes spoke only one word, pain.
Every day, new cases arrive, dogs with deep wounds crawling for food, puppies trembling in the cold, mothers giving birth in plastic bags behind dumpsters.
The team never turns anyone away. But compassion alone cannot fill empty stomachs or heal broken bones. The medical bills are piling up. Shelters are running out of blankets and medicines. There are days when the volunteers skip meals just to ensure the dogs eat.
Winter has arrived, and with it comes the fear that some of these fragile beings won’t survive the cold nights ahead. Their thin, scarred bodies shiver as the temperature drops. The foundation needs warm clothes, medicines, and food, basic things that mean survival for these innocent souls.
But without immediate help, Mylos Rescue may have to shut its gates. And when that happens, the ones who have nowhere else to go will be back on the streets, where cruelty waits around every corner.
This is not just a plea. It is a cry for help, from those who cannot speak, who only know how to love even after being broken. Mylos Rescue has saved hundreds of lives, but now it’s the rescue itself that needs saving.
Your contribution, no matter how small, can mean the difference between a warm meal and an empty stomach, between life and death for a helpless animal.
Save Mylos Rescue. Save their only home.
