Project:
In the heart of Mysore, Bangalore, stands a unique home filled with courage, resilience, and hope — Divya Jyothi Charitable Trust. This is not just an institution; it is a house where 50 visually impaired girls live, study, and dream. A house where eyes may not see, but where dreams shine brighter than the sun. A house led by a blind mentor, proving that true vision is not bound by sight, but by the strength of the human spirit.

Founded in 2008 by Mr. Shiv Prakash, the trust was born out of a deep sense of responsibility and compassion for those often left unseen by society. Having faced his own struggles as a visually impaired individual, Mr. Prakash understood the pain, challenges, and limitations that blind girls encounter in their everyday lives. With a heart full of determination, he created a sanctuary where these girls could receive not only shelter but also the chance to live dignified, empowered, and independent lives.

At Divya Jyothi Charitable Trust, the girls are provided with accommodation, food, education, and transport facilities — all completely free of cost. The organization ensures that these girls are not limited by their disability but are instead encouraged to discover their hidden talents, pursue academics, and build careers. Education is provided in inclusive formats, with braille books, braille paper, and computer training being central tools to help them compete with confidence in a sighted world.
This is not just about survival. It is about living with dignity. Each girl at the trust carries an inspiring story — of overcoming rejection, of proving wrong those who doubted them, and of carving a place in society that recognizes their worth. Together, they create a family where love, compassion, and courage are shared in abundance.

However, as Mr. Prakash often says, “a single hand is not sufficient to fulfill big dreams.” Running a home for 50 visually impaired girls requires immense resources. Daily needs like ration, hygiene supplies, and transport add to the challenge. The demand for specialized resources such as braille paper, assistive technology, and computers makes the task even bigger. Yet, the trust continues to march forward, believing in the kindness and generosity of those who wish to make a difference.

Your support can become the light in the lives of these girls. Every small act of giving — whether it is sponsoring food, contributing towards education materials, or helping with computers — transforms into a stepping stone towards their independence. With your help, dreams seen without eyes can become realities seen with the heart.
Today, Divya Jyothi Charitable Trust stands as a beacon of hope in Bangalore, reminding the world that disability is not inability. It is a home where blind girls learn to stand tall, dream big, and walk towards a brighter tomorrow.

Let us join hands with Mr. Shiv Prakash and these 50 brave girls. Together, we can write stories of success, dignity, and empowerment.
Please donate now — because your support is the vision they need.
