This school was founded by Dattu Agarwal, a man who couldn’t afford education in his own childhood. But instead of living in regret, he chose to become the Guru he never had for dozens of blind girls who had no one to guide them.

“They cannot see the world,” he says, “but that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve a chance to live in it with dignity.”

Guru Purnima is not just a day to thank our teachers. It’s a call to become the teacher, the light, the guide for someone who’s lost, forgotten, or in need.
