Project:
Raj’s journey began when he saw women living on the streets- mothers and sisters abandoned by their own families. In a world that is already unsafe for women, these women had no protection, no shelter, and no one to call their own. Some were old, some were unwell, some were completely broken by life. They sat on the roads, invisible to most people.
Many of these women cry silently. Sometimes it is because of loneliness. Sometimes it is because they remember the homes they once had and the people who left them behind. They have been betrayed, hurt, and forgotten. They were never made to feel loved or special. For them, every day was only about survival.
Raj could not turn his face away. He sat beside them, listened to their stories, and told them gently, “Main hoon na, don’t worry.” He believes love is not about receiving gifts or attention. Love is about standing by someone when the world has abandoned them. With this belief, Raj rescued these women from the streets and brought them to safety. He gave them food, a bed to sleep on, and most importantly, dignity.
For the first time in years, these women felt safe. They were no longer scared to sleep at night. They had a roof over their heads and someone who cared if they were hungry or unwell. Slowly, their wounds began to heal, even if the pain in their hearts still remained.
On Valentine’s Day, when the world celebrates love with roses, chocolates, and promises, Raj does something different. He gives flowers and small gifts to these rescued women. When they receive a rose, many of them cry. Not because of sorrow, but because no one had ever given them flowers before. No one had ever made them feel important.
These women are broken by life, but they are not worthless. They are mothers and sisters who deserve care and respect. Raj’s small gesture reminds them that they matter.
However, there are many more women still living on the streets—alone, scared, and helpless. Raj and the organisation want to rescue them too, but their resources are limited. They cannot do this work alone.
This Valentine’s Day, you can choose to show real love. Love that protects. Love that heals. Love that gives hope.
Come forward and support this mission. Help bring safety and dignity to women who have lost everything.
