Project:
When Seenu Matthew first began taking in people from the streets, it wasn’t part of a grand plan. It started with a simple act of compassion he found an elderly man lying on the roadside, barely alive, his wounds filled with maggots. No one stopped. No one cared. But Seenu couldn’t walk away. He took the man home, cleaned his wounds, fed him, and stayed by his side until he recovered. That moment changed everything.
Today, Immanuel Mercy Home Ashram is home to over 150 people, a mix of the elderly, orphans, widows, and children of single parents. Many of the elderly who arrive have been abandoned in the most heartbreaking conditions, some left to die alone with no one to hold their hand.

Seenu and his small team take them in, clean their wounds, get them medical attention, and let them live out their final years in peace, surrounded by love. Many of these elderly people were found with no names, no belongings, and no one asking about them.
Seenu doesn’t just offer shelter. He gives dignity back to those who have been stripped of it.
Alongside the elderly, the Ashram cares for dozens of children. Some have lost both parents.

Others come from single-parent homes where the mother or father simply couldn’t manage. These are children who would have otherwise slipped through the cracks left without hope or opportunity. But at Immanuel Mercy Home Ashram, they are given a chance.
Seenu has made it a priority to send every child to a good English medium school, not just to pass time, but to truly build their futures. And it’s working. The kids are thriving, scoring 90%, 92% in their exams.

They study hard, knowing they’ve been given a rare second chance. They dream of becoming doctors, teachers, engineers not out of fantasy, but because Seenu has shown them it’s possible.
But running this kind of home is not easy.

There are days when even providing basic food becomes a challenge. The cost of medical supplies, especially for the elderly residents with chronic illnesses and injuries, is increasing. Seenu never turns anyone away, but the resources are wearing thin.
He has sold his own belongings, borrowed money, and gone without just to keep the lights on and the people fed. Now, he is asking for help. Not for himself, but for the people who have no one else.

If you’ve ever wondered what true compassion looks like, you’ll find it here. In the daily struggles. In the quiet service. In the lives being rebuilt from the ground up. Please consider supporting Immanuel Mercy Home Ashram. Even a small donation can go a long way towards a meal, a school fee, or a medicine that saves a life.
These people deserve a chance. And together, we can give it to them. Help Seenu help them. For the sake of humanity, please come forward. Donate. Support. Share.
